CoinReport Cardano partner EMURGO announces blockchain explorer Seiza

EMURGO, the official commercial arm of Cardano – the first 3rd generation blockchain to grow out of a research-first driven approach –, announced at the IOHK Summit the upcoming release of Cardano blockchain explorer Seiza.

Seiza will have more features than any other blockchain explorer, said a press release CoinReport received from Ketchum, EMURGO and IOHK’s communications firm, adding that its release will take place before the end of May.

The name “Seiza” is derived from the Japanese word for “constellation.” It reflects EMURGO’s Japanese heritage and goal for it to be a largescale blockchain navigation guide for users.

This critical development is reportedly in line with EMURGO’s goal to support the adoption of and bring value to Cardano coin (ADA) holders.

IOHK CEO Charles Hoskinson said in the news release we received, “I am excited to see that EMURGO has developed such a useful and innovative product for the Cardano community. The ability to have transparency is a vital function for the Cardano blockchain protocol and Seiza delivers this in an amazing way for users.”

It should be noted here that the Cardano blockchain currently has validated over 2.4 million blocks.

As Cardano utilizes a resource-friendly proof of stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, ADA holders will soon be able to take part in stake pools. In a public blockchain using PoS, staking becomes central to securing the network to authenticate transactions as users staking more ADA will have a better chance at being chosen to create blocks and thus earn rewards. Stake pools are run by numerous users with the promise of being online all the time. They enable users to delegate their stake to a pool. Seize will provide ADA holders access to real-time data of these stake pools.

EMURGO CTO Nicolas Arqueros commented, “EMURGO is fully committed to providing valuable utility to the Cardano community. Seiza is an essential user friendly tool that EMURGO was eager to develop to further the advancement of the Cardano ecosystem.”

Since Cardano’s genesis, over 1 million transactions have been conducted, more than 1.2 million wallet addresses created and more than 7.3 trillion ADA moved.
